Itinerary in details

• DAY 01: HANOI - BABE LAKE - 220km, 6h drive

  Departing from Hanoi, we embark on a way up into mountain areas north of Hanoi. Today we visit Cho Chu prison which was built in 1942, captured many Vietnam revolution politicians (Việt Cộng). Onwards to Ba Be Lake National Park, one of the largest natural lakes in Vietnam, home to many kinds of birds, scenic valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground river tributaries, a gigantic cave and local ethnic minorities, including the Tay, Red Dao and Hmong.

  Overnight at home-stay

• DAY 02: PAC NGOI - COC TOC - NA GHE

  Breakfast at homestay. We have a full day of trekking and hiking tour through the primary forest to the remote H'mong village of Dan May. The adventure is of hard grade, but the view from the top is just stunning, the pristine forest flora, medicinal plants and the opportunity to visit a remote hill tribe settlement make it a rewarding and memorable experience.

  Total walking, trekking and hiking time is around 6 hours.

  Overnight at a homestay with a Long-tunics Dao family in Na Nghe village

• DAY 03: NA NGHE - DAU DANG - PAC NGOI

  Breakfast at the homestay, then in the morning, trek about 8 km to Dau Dang waterfall. Visit this water and the Tay village, & have lunch at the local family.

  In the afternoon take a boat trip across the river, visit the Dau Dang cave then continu the boat trip to the first village- Pac Ngoi. Free time.

  Dinner and overnight at the village house on stilts of Mr Son

• DAY 04: BABE - HANOI (340KM) (B/L)

  
  After breakfast, we leave our home stay and Ba Be Lake for the drive back to Hanoi. On the long way back then after lunch in a local restaurant we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen Minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam.

  Back to Hanoi, arriving there at around 6pm.
